MedicareThe White House has been forced to take action to shore up President George W. Bush’s signature domestic policy, Medicare prescription drug reform, amid fears of coverage gaps for needy patients.

Since the implementation of the prescription drug bill on January 1, hundreds of thousands of low-income patients have reported not being able to get their medication. About 20 states have declared a public health emergency and agreed to give temporary help to cover the cost of prescription drugs."
