USED COMPUTER EQUIPM

USED COMPUTER EQUIPMENT DRAWING

RT

During The course of building the new computer lab it is necessary to remove the older equipment now in service. With that in mind Jim Rose and I spent today disconnecting and moving the old computers and associated equipment to a table out by the pool table. It is there for your inspection until Thursday, January 26th.

On Thursday at 1:00pm we will draw names and the first place will be able to pick any one complete computer system or any individual piece of equipment they want. 2nd place will then be offered the same deal and so on until all have what they want. The remaining components will then be sent to the dump.

Meanwhile, You will notice that there are 2 new computers hooked up and operational in the lab as well as the old one hooked to the internet by dial-up connection. If you want to play with the new additions it’s ok go ahead. There are places for other computers as they become available from Jim Dobbs. The places are set the way we want them for classes please do not move or borrow the equipment that is there. Please do not bring any other equipment to the lab room.

Ron Gibbs gave us a wireless router.. new in the box. This means we may send back the one we just bought. It also means we are one step closer to wifi high speed internet throughout the clubhouse.. Thanks Ron for your considerate donation.

We are making progress all be it slowly and have had a few setbacks but the good out weighs the bad.

There has been a movement of the scale and exercise bike to the card/craft room to make room for the lab expansion. We got permission from management to do that. The TV will remain in the lab as it is a valuable tool for the instructor to display from his/her laptop what is being taught. Also, the card room has no cable connection.
