From a drowning to flooded fields, days of heavy rain caused problems big and small in Oregon over the long New Year's weekend.

The worst weather seems to be over. Although rain is predicted throughout the week, showers should be lighter and less frequent than the torrents of recent days. Rivers that approached or topped their banks Sunday and Monday are returning to more seasonal levels, relieving boaters and residents of floating homes."
