Being it's Halloween Let me Scare you!!
An interesting tale came my way the other day. There was this guy who tried to organize a community against disaster. People held there hands in front of their mouths as they whispered he's just trying to scare everybody don't worry about it. They passed the word from mouth to ear making light of all the scare talk and disaster planning.
How could they he thought? Don't they see the same things and hear the words of the learned and world renown Doctors lecturing at the Hatfield Museum about the tsunami that will come here one day? Don't they know that the heads of the Police and Fire Departments sought volunteers throughout Newport to help with disaster training and aide just so they could hope that something could be done. Perhaps When the fire cheif told us that if we didn't tell the residents of South Beach about their precarious position in the face of a tsunami he wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Could they have missed the honored State Trooper who thought enough about disaster to come to Longviewhills and teach all the volunteers 3 courses of first aide for 8 hours for free? You mean they don't think it's worth knowing about survival during a terrible event?..
Was their TV on like mine on Sept 11th? Were they entertained by what they saw during the aftermath of Katrina? Banda Aceh in Maylasia did no one see it?
Booo!! Scared you didn't I?
It's all make beleive. We made it all up don't worry about it.
