Recreation Report: Northwest Zone: Fishing - Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife:

Northwest Zone: Fishing

ALSEA RIVER : Good catch rates of winter steelhead have been reported throughout the Basin and should continue through the weekend. Good numbers of hatchery fish are returning to the Al sea hatchery and many hatchery adult steelhead are being recycled back into the fishery. During high flows, anglers should concentrate on upper river and headwater areas first as river conditions improve more rapidly. Current river levels and forecasts can be found at http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/river/station/flowplot/flowplot.cgi?TIDO3.

BIG CREEK: Recent storms continue to make rapid changes in fishing conditions. As conditions permit, fishing should be fair to good, although the run of hatchery fish should begin to wind down soon. Anglers may call 503-458-6529 for recorded fishing information"
