Jack and Bette Owens have been residents at Longview Hills for over ten years. They have been married 57 wonderful, enjoyable and great years. Jack and Betty raised 3 children and are blessed with 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Bette was born in the state of California and Jack was born in the Terriorty of Hawaii, (wasn't a part of the USA yet). Bette's hobbies and interest are travel, crafts, church work, genealogy and she volunteers at the local hospital gift shop.
Jack's hobbies and interest are collecting hats and does he every have them, at this date he has collected over 2400 which encludes hats from all over the world. He always enjoys talking to you about them and showing them to anyone who might stop by. He also has other collections, I'll cover those at another time. Jack and Bette are charter members as a volunteers at the Oregon Coast Aquarium here in Newport, Jack still puts his volunteer time in there. It would be best to say they are a very busy couple. Oh, best not forget to mention Muffit their dog, he make a great door bell and will greet you each time. Next time you see them here on the hill, tell them you heard about all they do on the "Meet Your Neighbor's at LVH's".
