Fans embraced the University of Portland women's soccer team in its undefeated, championship 2005 season, setting an all-time Division-I record for season attendance.
Matches involving the U.S. men's and women's soccer teams have brought more than 20,000 people to PGE Park.
The Portland Timbers' Army counts hundreds of scarf-draped fans, and the Timbers themselves routinely rank among the best in their league in attendance"
