Senior book club extends invitation:The Newport Senior Activity Center book club extends an open invitation to readers over age 50 to join. The book club meets at 1 p.m. the third Wednesday each month. This month, Amy Tan's book, 'The Bonesetter's Daughter,' will be discussed. Interested persons are invited to stop by the center and check out a copy. The Newport Senior Activity Center is located at 20 SE 2nd St. Call 265-9617 with questions.
