Thousands Turn Out for Great Oregon Spring Beach Cleanup....................

Monumental Goal Reached!
Over 1000 tons of trash collected in the history of Oregons beach cleanups.
Although many quaint and interesting items turned up in the volunteers SOLV bags, the most significant findings were lots of plastics debris, Styrofoam and other items injurious to sea life. Some examples of the quaint and interesting items are a working cell phone, dozens of flip flops, a refrigerator, an oven and a 100-foot irrigation pipe.
