Newport News-Times: Final plan chosen for new Spencer Creek Bridge:
By Joel Gallob Of the News-Times
The current 'temporary bridge,' pictured here, that replaced the deteriorating original U.S. Highway 101 bridge over Spencer Creek has survived longer than its original life expectancy. The Oregon Department of Transportation worked through a series of analyses, public meetings and open houses, and a required Environmental Impact Statement for the placement, design and construction of a new, permanent bridge. This week, a final plan was released, settling the question of what route the new bridge and its approaches will take. (Photo by Steve Card)
