Growing up in the 1970s, before cable television or the Internet, fans had their local announcers and precious few national voices. If you watched Super Bowls or the World Series or the NCAA Finals in the '70s, you watched Curt Gowdy call the action. Now, more than 35 years later, I can still hear Curt say, 'Today's Game of the Week is brought to you in living color.'"
