ZOMBIE
A story about an email we received today....I have a suspicion that I want to tell you about... One of the ways computer hackers gain control over a computer is to put a picture in an attachment and when you open the picture attachment a virus comes in and inserts itself into your computer. Naturally the picture must be compelling to get you to open it... In this case, "Never seen before pictures of the World Trade Center". The hacker has set it up so that your computer joins all the other computers he has hacked. He use all of them (and your computer) at a level that you are not even aware of to send spam, pornography and whatever suits his purpose.
This operation makes a ZOMBIE out of your computer and so your computer is then referred to in the hacking world as a Zombie...

I don't know for sure if this means anything. But I rarely open pictures from people I don't know. I hope I am wrong about this but I am not going to find out. If your computer suddenly starts to run slower it may have become a zombie.
Further down this email the person who wrote it says that this sure did load slowly. Could it be that was because it was loading something beside a picture on that computer? Be careful only download stuff from people you know and really think if it is a third party download.
