ON THE SOAP BOX AGAIN....
Every once in awhile I haul out the rules for writing and commenting on this website, dust them off and put them up for everyone to see. Maybe we have to do that because a rule has been violated or because there is not a complete understanding of how it works or simply we have new readers.
The easiest way to remember what to do is to know that we promote the Golden Rule. “Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you”. If you have that down pat we will get along fine. All the other rules find their way back to that main rule.
Recently, we erased a comment that told another commenter to “shut up”.. That clearly falls outside the rules. This was also a comment that that person would not sign their name to. Which is an act of cowardice in our opinion. Always make sure you sign your name if you want your comment to remain on the page.
Sure, nasty comments will get in from time to time and they will remain there until I have the time to ferret them out and edit them. You could help by letting me know when you see one and I will take care of it.
