Automatic Gate Openers will soon go on sale...

The vendor has told management that he needs to order the remote controllers for the new gate that is coming soon. Management says there is going to be a punch code controller at the gate just as there is now and they have no interest in purchasing the remotes for residents. The vendor says the minimum quantity that can be purchased is 50.  At $20 apiece that would be $1000 and at $30 apiece that would be $1500. If more are wanted the money will be more. The Social Club will most likely consider making the purchase. That will have to be debated and voted on either at a special meeting or the next regular meeting. Accordingly Ben Davi is going to speak to the vendor and get all the data we have to know.

Preliminary thoughts you need to consider are is this going to be a fully paid order before it leaves the park and goes to the vendor? The maintenance of the remote controls will be the responsibility of the owners. The warranty will be the responsibility of the owner. The Social Club will not be responsible for replacement and upkeep.

Many people have grumbled lately about the size of the Social Club treasury. I would like to point out to you that it is precisely because the treasury is being kept up that the Social Club can even consider buying in quantity for a good price. Were the treasury to become depleted due to ideas such as give aways and free dinners there would not be a way to purchase these remotes because the money would not be there.

As a group we can do more if we are financially sound and here is the proof.
