"MEETING WITH THE COUNTY SHERIFF"Last night Ed Simon and I attended the pre-reported meeting with the local Lincoln County Sheriff Dotson and staff from his department. There were about 30 people in attendance and I feel more could of been there if they were concerned about what is happening within the Sheriffs Department. It was a very interesting meeting, a lot of remarks and questions from those there. This is a first of meetings to be held in the future with your County Sheriff Deparment. Tonight there is a meeting at Walport and then tomorrow night in Lincoln City. In the future the Sheriff offered to speak to us the residents at the Club House, this will be reported when this will happen. Also the Newport Police Chief was also in attendance and he also offered to speak to us in the future. Crime is a very big problem and it can effect anyone, anytime and so the more we have knowledge, the safer we can be in our homes and our county. I thank Sheriff Dotson and his staff for taking time to meet with the residents of Lincoln County and look forward to the meetings down the road. Let's take a big bite out of crime and get involved.
