LVH Main Gate

As this article is raising community awareness and creating discussion we will leave it on top of the story string for awhile to give residents both a chance to vote and a chance to discuss ideas. When complete we will see that Larry Henson gets a transcript of the article, discussion and the poll..RT

In a conversation with Larry Henson, Park Manager, he told us the gate will be locked in the open position for a few days. He said over the last few months and just recently the gate arm came down on a resident’s car when they were driving through. He is concerned about the frequency of this happening and has decided for the gate to remain open until a contractor can submit a bid for replacing it. There are only two contractors that are willing to come to the coast and bid that Mr. Henson has found. One is talking about a figure around $30,000. The other is talking about $6000. The one talking the lesser price said he has gates installed in communities in the valley that operate by remote controller similar to a garage door opener. If such an option were chosen Larry said that residents would have to purchase their own remotes.

For everyone’s information Nancy Henson is getting ready for an operation on her back during this time also.

A poll is being created to see if residents favor buying a remote to operate the main gate.
