An attempt to make the longest aircraft flight in history could begin as early as the middle of next week at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, US.
Pilot Steve Fossett, holder of numerous aviation records, hopes to pilot the Virgin GlobalFlyer solo jet aircraft around the world and then across the Atlantic a second time, ending the journey in Kent, England, about 80 hours later."
