T he Fiscal Wake-up Tour rolled into town this week and left a lot of people wide-awake and wondering why they'd never heard of David Walker before.

Walker, the tour's frontman, is the nation's comptroller general, in charge of the GAO, the U.S. Government Accountability Office. And boy did he hold Americans and their leaders accountable Friday in a stern and sobering address to the City Club of Portland."
