Oregon Coast - Migrating gray whales have been spotted, with a peak in a few weeks

Get out the binoculars -- it's whale-watching season on the Oregon Coast.
Gray whales already have been spotted heading south to their wintering and breeding lagoons in Mexico. The 6,000-mile migration of 20,000 whales from their Alaska feeding grounds will last through February.
The migration will peak during the next few weeks, when about 30 whales will pass the coast every hour."
