The Northwest night sky will be sparkling tonight and Friday as the annual Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak.

This year's show should be a good one, helped by clear skies and a dark sky when the moon sets after 11 p.m. Viewers might be able to see more than 60 meteors per hour between midnight and dawn away from city lights."
