Oregon Coast Lodgings Offer Specials, Gas Cards: "Exactly how much high gas prices are affecting travel and tourism on the Oregon coast is a little up in the air as yet. It depends on whom you talk to you. Some are reporting drops in business; others are not. One big prediction is that those who normally take long drives through several states won’t be doing that this year, and instead be traveling to the coast. Seaside and Cannon Beach officials say they normally do well in such pinches on the travel budget because they’re close to the metropolitan area of Portland."
