News - StatesmanJournal.com: "All of the cottages and other dwellings for seniors would be rented, Deines said. The intent is to 'create a large, age-restricted senior campus,' he said.

Prices for renting one of the assisted-living units have not been determined, but at other facilities it ranges from about $2,300 to $3,200 a month for a two-bedroom unit; memory care units cost more. Meals, weekly housekeeping, and utilities are included with rent.

Those living in the cottages at the West Salem project would be able to get meals at the main building's dining hall.

The 'independent living' portions of the project would be aimed at people 55 years and older, while the assisted living facility's primary clientele would be those 75 years old and older, Deines said."
