Things are going pretty well
Tommorow I have to prepare the van for Lori. She is going to have to ride the entire way to Newport Laying down on a mattress in the back with her foot elevated above her heart. This is not like any broken foot thingy we have ever heard of. They put her in a soft cast 6 months ago and told her they did not know where the pain was coming from because x-rays showed no break. Finally, they did an MRI an viola! there has been a break all along. Then the operation. The instuctions.. Must lay down 90% of the time with the foot elevated above the heart. No weight whatsoever on the foot. The foot is splinted and only in a half cast. It can't have a cast on it.
This makes care for her pretty intensive. She says not to worry however as she will have us whipped into shape in no time at all :(
Then there is capture of the two cats on Sunday. One is pretty nice and will go in his carrier without complaint.. it's his favorite sleep hidy hole anyway. The other cat is psychotic and for the most part does not like people,, will run and hide if you get her carrier out. Capture of her is going to be fun. So Sunday is to be spent on the road with a cranky foot, 2 cats singing and 11 1/2 hours of drive. But I have a secret weapon.. 2 packs of ear plugs.
