CERT Meeting Wednesday
11:00am at the clubhouse..We need helpers for this meeting!!!

Rescue Operations...

We have borrowed Rescue Andy from the Fire Dept. Andy weighs in at 175 lbs of dead weight. When we had our training we wrestled Andy a bit. I think all of us found Andy was a bit more than we thought we could handle. So we need to adapt. We are going to try more senior friendly ways of moving Andy.

We are going to need helpers .. those people that would show up at a disaster and want to know if they could help... You are the ones we want if you have a spare hour. Kibitizers will also be welcome.

We will try a blanket drag. Maybe office chair pushing, Someone, proposed using a dolly.. bring it. A mechanics creeper maybe. Got ideas? Material bring it. Anyone have a stretcher? Bring it.
Plastic tarp? bring it.

We need maybe some plywood.. I'll bring my truck and van and electric scooter, piano dolly and regular dolly I'll try to get an old blanket. How many will it take to move Andy? I don't know. But the idea is to move Andy so that no one gets strained muscles or joints. You can always move the dummy but what good is it if we hurt ourselves in the process and become part of the problem.

See you tommorow...
