Newport News-Times: Newport officials announce new 'Coffee Hour':
The mayor, city council and city manager have announced a new city program entitled 'Coffee Hour with the City.' The event will be hosted by Mayor Bill Bain and City Manager Allen O'Neal. The purpose of the 'coffee hour' is to offer citizens a relaxed environment in which to ask questions of city officials and to learn more about city government. The June 1 hour is designed to kick off and inaugurate the new program by having Bain and City O'Neal respond to questions from citizens about the general operations of City government.
