Eight-hour standoff ends in man's arrest

A 64-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after an eight-hour standoff at a mobile-home park.
Walter Grant Harding was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, five counts of menacing, reckless endangering and disorderly conduct. He was being held at Lincoln County jail with bail set at $75,000, said Newport chief of police Mark Miranda."
