At 7:45 this morning, a bus will roll out of Newport and 19 girls will begin their journey to a whole new level.
The Newport High School Cheerleading Squad is headed to the United Spirit Association Cheerleading National Championships in Anaheim, Calif. After being the best in state the last two years, they're ready to see how they stack up against the best in the country. Experienced as this squad is with bouncing, jumping and spinning, they admit there are some butterflies in their stomachs doing the same thing.
