KTRE-TV - Lufkin/Nacogdoches, TX - Review suggests E-P-A downplayed potential cancer risk in Teflon chemical:

"DOVER, Del. A controversial chemical used to make Teflon apparently poses more of a cancer risk than was first suggested by the Environmental Protection Agency.
The agency had stated earlier this year that there was 'suggestive evidence' of a potential cancer risk from the chemical (perfluorooctanoic acid) known as C-Eight."
