If You Are a club member.. and you are if:
You are involved in :
  • Bingo
  • Pool
  • Cribbage
  • Computer Club
  • Fisherman's Club
  • Pinochle
  • Ladies Coffee
  • The Social Club
We have a new system we are trying out at the clubhouse. It involves all of us that socialize with these games and meetings. We have put up two suction cup hooks on the door going into the mailroom. On those hooks we are going to hang posters that show the above events the day before they happen so that we all can be reminded of what the next event is and when. All of the above regularily ocurring events have permanent posters made for them and are encased in plastic. They are made of heavy cardstock paper for longevity. The events are printed on both sides so we can see it when we are coming and going thru the door. Since these events all occur at the same times and days of the week they always will say, "Event Name.. this day.. and time."

We are asking that you put up your poster if you are in one of the above groups the day before your event and no sooner. For instance the Fishermen would put their poster up on theWednesday before their meeting on Thursday. The pool players have 2 days a week that they compete and there is a poster for Sunday and another for Wednesday for them.

The posters for each of the above listed social events are located in the plastic box on the bulletin board. Where the Newsletter Editor likes your articles for the Newsletter to be put... We're getting double duty out of it.

I know that until we get into the swing of things that the posters may not be put up and so for a time I will keep an eye on it and try to keep a smooth transition going.

Also, Larry Henson is not fond of using the door for postings but he hasn't complained recently so we are hoping to use the door for coming events and wonder if everyone might consider putting other announcements on the Bulletin Boards?

We hope that this will generate more participation in the Social Activities at LVH.

In the works for the Bulletin Board is the idea of swapping its location with the dry erase board so that it will be the first thing seen when entering the mailroom. If you have an opinion on that please give it to us in the comments.
