To the readers of the LVH newsletter
From the LVH newsletter editor (Charles Curry) :
You will be wondering where your newsletter is. IT IS IN THE BOX ON THE TABLE NEXT TO YOUR LETTER BOX.
Why there? The Social Club Board has decided to cut the number of copies from 190 to 100. This is a cost cutting action based on the observation that there are always a number of copies still in the boxes at the end of the month. First come first served.
You will notice that the October issue is bare bones.
How come my favorite column has been dropped? That was a unilateral decision by myself , based upon some frustration, and definitely not well thought through. I believe that we have discussed unintended consequences before.
What next?
Following discussions with friends I believe that we can achieve the savings that the Board desires and still maintain the newsletter as it has been by:
Publishing only 100 hard copies
Putting the newsletter on the LVH Web. This something that Ron Thomas has been trying to get me to do for months.
By my holding more strictly to the length of stores published.
