Finavera Renewables has successfully moored AquaBuOY 2.0, a wave-energy electrical generator in the Pacific Ocean, 2.5 miles off of the North American coast near Newport, Oregon. AquaBuOY is a partially submerged cylinder, 12 feet in diameter and 75 feet long, that converts the rise and fall of ocean waves into electricity.
