The Newport Elks Lodge 2105 is having "Glory Day 2007" on Saturday, June 16th at the Newport Elks Lodge. There will be a BBQ starting at 5:00 p.m. (with potato salad, baked beans & chips) all for $5.00. Everyone is invited to attend the Memorial Dedication at 4:00 p.m. followed by Flag Retirement Ceremony for unserviceable flags, retirement at dusk. This is a really wonderful way to dispose of a flag that can no longer be used. There will be prize drawings in the Lodge Lounge following the Flag Retirement Ceremony. Get tickets for prizes at Elk Lodge 2105 up to time for the drawings (all proceeds will go to Veterans service programs.
