Coffee and Doughnuts!
Everyone is invited but we really would like to talk to Neighborhood Watch Block Captains Wednesday @ 11:00 AM the 6th of June. For just one hour! Then it's over.. promise.
Here is how it will work... No lecture! Just you sitting with your friends at a table and one or two CERT members sitting with you drinking coffee and eating doughnutz. The CERT members will explain how CERT and Neighborhood Watch work as partners to overcome disaster problems. Specifically, what you do after a disaster and how to call it in. What the new, greatly reduced responsibilities of Block Captains and Co-ordinators are. You could volunteer and you would hardly have to invest much time at all. But, we are all now much safer and better informed because of the changes.
How the Neighborhood Watch FRS radio network works. Why CERT needs to turn everything back to neighbors now that it is in place and go on drilling and working on a comprehensive disaster plan.. How CERT works in an emergency.
