The journey to adulthood involves learning to make choices and decisions. Children who can think independently and know their own mind will have an easier time resisting peer pressure. Encouraging your children to think about who they are and what they value can be as simple as reflecting on the music they like to hear, the food they like to eat, favorite sports, hobbies, movies and books.
