NEWPORT, Ore. -- Sea lion watchers in Newport have long been concerned about a particular sea lion with a wire wrapped around it's neck.
The Port of Newport along with the Marine Mammal Stranding Network say they have finally found a solution.
The Port of Newport set out a cage Thursday morning. Jim Rice of the Oregon Marine Mammal Stranding Network says their biggest problem in dealing with a wild animal is getting it to sit still."
