PARK HAM RADIO OPERATOR'S

We have a frequency for you to put into your memory banks for scanning... 146.500 SSB. At the Local CERT meeting last night we agreed on this frequency as one to monitor for HAM's at LVH.

Scanner Dogs can also install that on your scanners. It will be a community frequency and we hope to see local use grow as HAM Radio becomes more and more a new hobby at LVH.

If you are suffering from macular degeneration... HAM radio may be a good hobby for you to immerse yourself in. A good way to talk to people all over and listen to interesting conversation.

A HAM radio club? There are 8 Ham radio operators in the park now. The park sponsors beginning license classes every Monday at 5:30 in the clubhouse. All are welcome.. Anyone can start at any time in the course.. It has no beginning nor no end.

Email me if you think forming the LVH HAM radio club is a good idea.
