It was that kind of knowledge that led block captain Buddy Klein to think something might be amiss at the home of a couple who was on vacation. Although the strange car that pulled into the drive turned out to be friends who were taking care of the home, the eyes were watching, Klein said.
'I almost decided to call the police, but I saw them taking in the trash and getting the mail,' he said. 'It's just about trying to stay alert to something unusual in the neighborhood.'"
