In San Jose at about 10:00pm
Jacky drove the daylight out and I took the dark shift. This way we get free room and board at Lori's. We used to stay in Eureka overnight but $70 for a hotel is incentive along with high gas prices to make the trip in one leap without a stop over.
101 was our route and it was a good drive without snow or ice. We spoke with Bonnie and Jim Rose on their way north bound on 101 and even waived at them as we passed each other near the mall in Eureka.
They should be home at LVH tommorow. We will rest up a couple of days and head down toward Palm Springs on Tuesday.
