Here is a aprt rumor and part truth about a recent event. The moral of this story might be to get you to rethink your ideas about keeping your home locked up.

(the true part) Brian Hudson called Jacky about 11:00 pm Wednesday and said there were a couple of strange guys fooling around with the forest gate and walking around the area. Jacky told him to call 911.

Well he did... Our police came and caught them.... Now the next part I heard from Ed Simon. He said that the 2 men caught were arrested for Meth cooking. The truck they were using was left on the forest road that leads to the transmission tower above the park. The police were going to return to go over the truck for evidence but the forestry service pushed it out on to LVH property and in so doing comprimised the evidence that the truck held.

This part is true... While doing a sweep of the neighborhood as we do from time to time I saw the truck parked on the entrance to the forest road with a red letter from Larry Henson on the windshield.. I think that is part of the procedure to have a car towed from the park.

Now the good part is you folks tell us what you know about the event. Fix the mistakes and tell us what happened.

2 lessons I can see ... Locking your home and garage would be a good thing. Calling 911 when something is a miss should be your very first thought. I know the Police Chief and he has told me on more than one occasion that he wished people would call as soon as possible so they could have a chance to catch the bad guys. Calling 911 after they are gone doesn't let them nail these thugs.

My kudos to Brian Hudson.
