Charles Burke updates his status in this email for us....

Well, Frida came to Eugene yesterday and got there around 10:45AM and I hope to be signed out of the Hospital within a two hour period, but didn't happen. The Doctor didn't get by to see me until around 3PM and had some good news and some bad news. The good news is that she was going to release me to go home and of course follow up with my Doctor here. She stated that I still had some pneumonia in both lungs and also there was a problem with my white blood count and that a lung specialist Doctor was going to come by to see me before we left for Newport. When he finally got by to see me it was after 4PM and spent some time with Frida and I to state that I have a problem other that the pneumonia, yes as people have been saying what can happen next and so this is next. Back in the 70's down in Albuquerque I was told that I had this blood disorder by the name of EOSINOPHILIA and not sure where or when I got it. They advised me that I should have my blood check yearly to see where the count was at. It has been around 17 thousand over many years and this time when they checked my blood in Eugene it had jumped to 24 thousand, normal I believe is around 8 to 10 thousand. The lung specialist Doctor stated that my case of Pneumonia was different from a person who would come down with regular Pneumonia. So he wants me to be on antibiotics for around 3 more weeks and then go back to Eugene to see him for more test. If you look up the medical word Eosinophilia there are many different problems one can have with this. So once I get the Pneumonia cleared up, then he will have a better idea what's going on with me. He advised that I put my other back surgery on hold for now, until this is other problem is taken care of.
So this is about all I know at this time, best not have any visitor for awhile until I build my immune system up and able to fight off virus. So I know all mean well out there and will enjoy your e mails or calls. Thank you to all out there for all the help they have given.

Best to all and hope you will have a safe and joyful holiday.
