A NEED FOR TOWELS
From a phone conversation with Sue Wilson...Sue called and wanted me to put an ad on the website. You know the Wilsons and Simons are involved in the capture and nurturing of wild birds that have become injured. Seems that in the course of their work they have used up a lot of towels...
Towels you say? Yep.. They get the birds stablized, put then in a box lined with a nice warm towel and a bottle of water then send them off to Astoria to be helped by a vet and then after they are recovered back into the wild they go.
A while back you saw them releasing a bald eagle back into the forest after her broken wing healed from pictures here on the web page.
The Wilsons would appreciate any used towels that you were planning on recycling for this good purpose. Sue said she really does not want dirty towels if you take my meaning. I already tried to get her to launder our towels and return them but her response was less than enthusiastic.
She pointed out that some of these animals have sharp beaks and the towel can help there too. I never saw a beak sharpening towel but if you have one the birds and the Wilsons would appreciate your donation.
