Ahoy from California....

We arrived yesterday at 8:04pm in Sunnyvale. The ride was 12 hours and 4 minutes. Stopped 3 times for gas at average of ten gallons per pit stop. About $35 a fill up. Gas is $3.35. Cost of gas one way is $104.

WE made good time even though we stopped for breakfast and lunch. And we got lost in Medford while trying to find the freeway after a gas stop. Our plan was to do the trip in one day so as not to have to stay in a hotel as we usually do. The extra $ could then be used by the gas tank. Why do I think there wil be more creative traveling in the future for seniors?

The San Jaquin Valley was hotter than a pistol but Sunnyvale is not so bad. Today I started on my daughter's office. Building and rearranging office furniture. She bought a new Mac. I never liked macs before but this one is a beautiful work of engineering. I took it out of the box and had it up and running in no time. The whole computer is in the monitor. There is no tower. The monitor is extra wide and just very pretty. The monitor also includes a digital camera and microphone so you can chat without doing a thing. The mouse and key board are wireless. There is a power cord, a modem cord for the internet and a cord for the printer and that's it.

Bill Hanus had thought about buying a new one.. Looks like a good deal to me Bill.
