The Yaquina Head Lighthouse remains wrapped in scaffolding, plywood and tarps as restoration work, begun in December, continues. With its 258 prisms encased in plywood to protect the lens, a temporary lamp atop the framework does the job of the lighthouse while it undergoing repairs.
