ASHLAND - Broker Barbara Allen and four of her colleagues flew to a San Francisco real estate conference carrying 2,000 Ashland postcards and 1,000 yellow 'LiveStrong' bracelets with Allen's contact information attached. They handed them out to every agent they met.
The strategy was simple: Follow the money. And in Ashland, the money is still coming from California. Enough to land Jackson County among the nation's top 25 places where home prices are growing the fastest. The median price of a home in Ashland, the county's hottest hot spot, jumped this year to $439,900.
