Now the end is near.

The end of the press conferences. The end of the buffet line. The end of our patience.

And what have we gained during our two weeks at the Television Critics Association summer press tour? Did we become better people? More productive members of society? Have we learned valuable lessons about life, love and faith?

Um, well, actually I skipped those sessions. But on the plus side I can speak volumes about the state of network TV and that ought to be good enough. Anyway, here's where we stand, heading into the new fall season:"
