Reverse 9-1-1 can be used to help locate missing children and adults, and for search and rescue operations. It can be useful in police investigations.
“There was a bank robbery in Depoe Bay not long ago,” Glasgow said. “We used the system to call about 2,000 people.
“We informed them that there had been a robbery, described the suspect and asked people to contact police with any information.”"
