LVH BOOK CLUB MEETING

About twenty guests attended the monthly meeting of the Longview Hills Book Club on Monday, April 13th. Ginger Stout started the meeting by picking the book selection for next month's meeting then Barb Dudley introduced the guest speaker, Michele Longo Eder.

Several of the people had already read Michele's book "Salt In Our Blood" but were treated to her reading a few excerpts as well as talking about the joys and heartache of being a Newport commercial fisherman's wife and mother. Besides being a successful attorney in Newport and now a local author, Michele is a friend of Longview Hills in that her father, Joe Longo, was a resident here before he passed away several years ago and she is a member of the LVH Fishing Club.

After reading the book and answering questions Michele signed her books for several guests who brought their copies to the meeting.

It was a truly memorable experience for all who attended. Ginger Stout has worked hard to get the LVH Book Club off the ground and it looks like it is now a bona fide success. Good job, Ginger!
