Newport News-Times: CERT members ready for all weather conditions: "At a recent meeting of Central Coast CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), the group received new ANSI (Federal Safety Standard) approved jackets. These jackets provide vital protection for CERT members, not only with respect to inclement weather, but also for maximum visibility and easy identification in poor conditions. The purchase of these jackets was made possible by a grant from the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Earlier this year, the tribe awarded CERT with a grant of $2,500, which enabled the group to purchase 53 jackets."
