We see that 51 people view this website from the community. I wish it were more.
Of the 51 .... 16 say they would be willing to read the monthly newsletter on line and receive a calendar via email. That isn't what I thought the answer would be but it's certainly enough to go ahead with the task. I will be showing Charlie how to publish the newsletter on line.. It is really simple... All he has to do is email it to a special address and it will self publish... Simple as that. That is the same way our police dept publishes on their websites. The same way that Lincoln County CERT team and Newport CERT team publish on their websites.
After I get Charlie up to speed I suggest you email me your email address and I will send you a calendar and I will put a link to the newsletter on the left of the webpage. When you feel you are happy with what we've done you just tell Charlie that you get your newsletter and calendar on line so he doesn't have to have one published for you. You snowbirds will probably find this service a real plus.
We've been thinking it would be a real plus for the people who advertise in the newsletter to have ads on the website. The revenue would be for the Social Club. Ads are time consuming and will take a bit of work. They also can run every day of the week. To put them on we will need volunteers to learn how. The ads should not come cheaply. On the other hand the vendor can have a break in that we can have a link for people to click that will bring up their whole menu and what's on special. They will be allowed to change it once a week. This should not be a $10 a month thing. More changes = more money. Large ad= more$.
Think it over Social Club... and answer in the comments if you would. Meanwhile a new poll concerning using the website as an income generator will be up shortly.
