Adopt a Family...

In the past was founded and spearheaded by Marlene Crites who has been the driving force behind arranging for our adopted families and seeing that they receive the gifts in such a manner as not to be seen as charity. Her perception and kindness have been translated into a lot of hard work in the past. Jim and Bonnie Rose were her special elves sharing the work in the background.

Now she has passed this tradition onto Barb Dudley and Ginger Dale. Why Marlene has bowed out as the leader of this event is simple... She has found new interests to devote her attention to and realizes she cannot do a great job on a lot of things and so has chosen to focus on her latest projects.

Marlene is concentrating on her position of Team member on the Longviewhills CERT TEAM (Community Emergency Rescue Team) and to reforming the Neighborhood Watch program. At times these new duties can be overwhelming and so she chose to become an advisor to Barb and Ginger who are our new Adopt a Family committee.

Personally, I would like to thank Marlene for all she does for our residents and to add to Ginger and Barb to call on me if you need help.
